Why AEDB Registration is Important

Securing PPIB registration is a critical step for any business aiming to operate in Pakistan’s solar energy market. This registration allows companies to officially import solar equipment, enables businesses to bid for government mega solarization projects, and ensures that the equipment meets the quality and safety standards set by the government. Compliance with these standards minimizes risks associated with improper installation or operation, thereby fostering public trust in solar energy and encouraging wider adoption.

AEDB registration is mandatory for companies looking to:

  • Import solar equipment legally

  • Qualify for government solarization projects

  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards

  • Gain credibility and attract potential clients

  • Access financing and incentives for renewable energy projects

Step-by-Step Process for AEDB/PPIB Registration

Step 1: Understanding the Requirements For Solar licence for AEDB/PPIB Registration

Before discussing the document requirements for AEDB/PPIB registration, it is essential to understand the categories of PPIB licenses along with their wattage and installation limits. The categories are as follows:

  1. C-3 – Up to 250 kW
  2. C-2 – Up to 500 kW
  3. C-1 – Up to 1 MW

These categories define the permissible installation capacity for renewable energy projects under the PPIB framework. For further information visithttps://www.ppib.gov.pk/

C-3 (250 kW) PPIB/AEDB Registration – Solar License for Small-Scale Installers

What is a C-3 PPIB License?

The C-3 category under PPIB/AEDB registration is designed for solar power installers handling projects up to 250 kW. This category is ideal for small-scale commercial and industrial solar installations, enabling certified companies to legally install and operate solar energy systems in Pakistan.
